My Story
Susana Cory-Wright was born in Canada but moved to England at a young age. She graduated from UCL with a Joint Honours degree in Modern Languages and has a PhD in English from de Montfort. She worked as a translator for pharmaceutical companies but now devotes herself full time to writing. She lives in Winchester with her husband and youngest of three children. She loves opera and travel. Extensive visits to South America have both inspired and given her a passion for that continent.
Susana Cory-Wright is the author of six novels: The Catalan House, The London Wife, Corona Confidential, Can a Leopard, One Flame Hour and Tolstoy's Beard. Her biography of the Victorian actress Maud Holt: Maud Beerbohm Tree, Lady of the Stage was published by Legenda, the Modern Humanities Research Association’s imprint for new research in the Humanities in 2018. She is currently working her eigth novel.
